Atopic Dermatitis

Atopic Dermatitis

Atopic Dermatitis Clinical Research Study

Do you have very itchy skin? Have you been itching steadily for the last 4 weeks? Does your itching keep you up at night?

Clinical Research Associates of Tidewater is conducting a research study to evaluate to effectiveness of an investigational drug used to treat the itching associated with Atopic Dermatitis

The study lasts approximately 12 weeks and includes an oral medication, an electronic diary to monitor habits and a Watch like device used to assess night time scratching.

Atopic dermatitis (eczema) is a condition that makes your skin red and itchy.  It is more common in children but can occur at any age.  Atopic dermatitis is long lasting (chronic) and tends to flare periodically and then subside.

Multiple factors can trigger or worsen atopic dermatitis, including low humidity, seasonal allergies, exposure to harsh soaps and detergents, and chilly weather. Environmental factors can activate symptoms of atopic dermatitis at any time in the lives of individuals who have inherited the atopic disease trait.
